Biology Minor

Curriculum

The biology and chemistry minors are not available to biochemistry majors. At least 9 credit hours of the minor must be taken at Florida Tech. Only 9 credit hours may be named courses in the major.

• BIO 1010 Biological Discovery 1
• BIO 1020 Biological Discovery 2
• BIO 1030 Introduction to Biotechnology
• BIO 1040 Introduction to Biodiversity and Physiology
• Restricted electives*

*A minimum of 11 additional credit hours in BIO or MAR courses are required to complete the biology minor. The department offers many elective courses of either 3 or 4 credit hours each. Four-credit hour courses include a laboratory. These required credits may consist of any combination of courses of 3 or 4 credit hours.
